American Alpine Club
The American Alpine Club’s Inclined blog is an excellent way to keep up with the latest developments with the Club itself and new events, research or profiles from the Piolet d’Or awards to profiles that have included Emily Harrington or interviews with Renan Ozturk.
A thank you out to Pete Takeda, Abbey Smith and Luke Bauer for greasing these wheels often.
Update: May 11, 2012
My article Mapping Geology with High Resolution Photography: A Personal Experience with Gigapixel Imagery. This tool for science is used by the Yosemite National Park Geologist Greg Stock. The article can now be found in three parts on the AAC Inclined blog: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. An additional thank you to Abbey Smith for helping me complete this article.

Well, my PC tower crashed recently. Therefore I have no access to any of my normal editing software including Autopano Pro. No more panoramic images for awhile. However, I installed Kolor’s XnView on my laptop for a test run…it works well enough for JPGs. So, for the time being I’m shooting in JPG on my Canon and processing on my laptop. I snagged a couple shots while on a walk around the lake with my baby Jasper who is now 6 weeks.

Watching over the domain....
This was taken with my Canon 40D and 50mm prime at 1/100 f/18 and ISO 125 with slight crop and saturation/hue adjustments in XnView post.

Almost...
I almost got the fish out of water, oh well. Taken with the 40D and 50mm at 1/100 f/22 and ISO 100 and similar saturation/hue adjustments.

Taken near the Front Porch in the Flatirons
Went to the top of the Front Porch in the Flatirons last weekend for a high resolution panoramic. However, that will require a retake. But this shot turned out alright.

Jasper is here!
Born on the 14th, our boy arrived just fine! Can’t wait to get this kid climbing and skiing. This shot was with my Canon 40D 50mm f/2 1/100 sec ISO 400 while I was hold him in my other arm braced by my torso.

Multnomah Falls, Oregon
I got this shot on a recent run in the Gorge while visiting family. We ran the Wakena-Multnomah loop about 6 miles, it was a blast.

The second falls above Multnomah Falls
I also snagged this shot earlier in the run on the way down Multnomah creek.
