I have just added a link to my new Gigapan page in order for you to properly view my current panoramic images and the ones I’ll be acquiring as the Columbia Icefield Gigapixel Project gets underway this Spring.  The link to this page can be found on the right as well as in this post.

Athabasca Glacier, one exit glacier of the Columbia Icefield.

I recently heard about Promote through one of my photog buddies, Gavin, at a recent CIGP meeting with Gigapan’s Mike Franz.  Gavin mentioned it stacks multiple focal planes of an image into one image and that Promote Control would be an excellent tool for making super crisp Gigapixel Panoramic Photographs.

Thank you.

I appreciate everyone’s willingness to support the Columbia Icefield Gigapixel Project, and my wife for putting up with my obsession with this Project.

Self Portrait: descending Grizzly Peak, Loveland Pass Colorado.

Just because: check out IFTTT for your code based one location command post for managing how the various social media sites and others communicate.  As they say, “Make the internet work for you.”  I just became aware of IFTTT today…it seems like a little work will become no work later.  Once you have, everything setup…each communication command has a on/off to change as needed.  So, now this blog auto populates to the Poulton Imaging Facebook Fan page and my Tumblr page.
