I went up to Mount Hood today and enjoyed some fresh snow due east of Timberline Lodge…thanks to my friend Kjell for snapping this shot of me.

WSU Vancouver portrait of David and Abbey
I took this shot the other evening for David and Abbey…it took awhile to find a good flow due to the cold evening air. However, we achieved some quality. Take a look at more images in my portraits folder.

The Rock of Ages in the Columbia River Gorge
Here’s a low quality video shot with my cell phone at the location that I took the shot above.

Marc approaching the Navigator Wall of Slesse
I went up to Slesse in Lower BC just south of Chilliwack, BC for a moderate climbing objective. However, being out for the past two seasons due to my ACL injury has taken a greater toll on my body then I realized. This 16 year old handed me my weaknesses on this short lived journey. However, I had a few photography successes despite tweaking my left shoulder on the first roped pitch. I got the above shot as I was moving a few yards behind Marc and saw the sunrise hitting the upper mountain.
I also got a 111 image panoramic once we returned to the propeller cairn after tweaking my shoulder.

Slesse from the Propeller Cairn
The propeller cairn is there in memory of Flight 810 that crashed into the mountain during bad weather and killed all who were aboard the flight. This area is a Historical Monument and debris from the flight must be left in place.
