A few minutes before they said the hwy was closed for the evening
Here is a shot I got and it’s my favorite in the series that I took the evening of 11/12/2008 as I waited for the word on if we were going to get through to the coast. However, they closed the highway after we waited for an hour and half and the stability of the slope was still questionable above the road. So we made the 4 hour detour south toward Lincoln City via 47 to Pacific City.

I took this photograph this evening as the sunset from the couch I was using to rest my replaced ACL in a nice beachfront house at Pacific City in OR.
I took this self portrait earlier this morning at Smith Rock. And to let those who need to know. I’ll be out for a bit after Oct 27 and my ACL surgery.
I got this take tonight with my new Canon 40D and a Sigma 18mm-50mm f 2.8. Shutter speed 1/13, f 4.0, ISO 500, Focal length 18mm. I took this shot on my way back from my AFSP meeting tonight…
I also shot a pano, but it has a few holes, so I’ll need to go do a retake.
I got this shot the other evening when Ariel and I were taking a sunset hike up to Silcox Hut.
