A little open space…..

Saturday, April 28th, 2012

Well, my PC tower crashed recently. Therefore I have no access to any of my normal editing software including Autopano Pro. No more panoramic images for awhile. However, I installed Kolor’s XnView on my laptop for a test run…it works well enough for JPGs. So, for the time being I’m shooting in JPG on my Canon and processing on my laptop. I snagged a couple shots while on a walk around the lake with my baby Jasper who is now 6 weeks.

Watching over the domain....

This was taken with my Canon 40D and 50mm prime at 1/100 f/18 and ISO 125 with slight crop and saturation/hue adjustments in XnView post.

Almost...

I almost got the fish out of water, oh well. Taken with the 40D and 50mm at 1/100 f/22 and ISO 100 and similar saturation/hue adjustments.

A New Addition

Jasper is here!

Born on the 14th, our boy arrived just fine! Can’t wait to get this kid climbing and skiing. This shot was with my Canon 40D 50mm f/2 1/100 sec ISO 400 while I was hold him in my other arm braced by my torso.

Loveland Pass

105 sec f/2.8 15mm ISO 400

I went up to Loveland Pass in the hopes of going for a stroll up to the top of Snikatu last night. However, the steady 70+ mph winds thwarted my attempt. It was difficult to just stand in that intensity. So, I went downslope on the southside and snagged the above photo in a steady 30 mph wind. The cold made my trigger release stiffen up.

The summit headwall

I turned around at the location of the last image, since I didn’t feel like skiing more rocks. I already crossed four sections along the ridge. Despite this I got two core shots in my skis on the descent. However, there were three amazing minor headwalls and a great ridge run going down!

Quandary and North Mountain

I took a little ski tour of the valley between Quandary and North Star Mountains just south of Breckenridge, Colorado today. The trip afforded me a few good photos.
