Version Two of the little ski segment

Sunday, March 22nd, 2015

I put together an additional clip into the previously posted video.  A great day out on the hill with Asit, Ted and Shawn.  It was my first day meeting Shawn and Ted…you can check out the previous post by clicking  here.

The extra clip is a timelapse approach to ski film sequences.  Just wanted to see what it would look like.  I like it, maybe you will too.   I still can’t get over the fact my built in mic actually filtered out the wind for a brief moment to capture that dialogue Ted and Asit were having at Crater Rock.  The Sony A7 is an awesome little power packed camera to take on these kinds of outings…

The new Tyrolia AAA alpine touring binding.

A couple weeks ago I won these new bindings in a photo comp by draw.  The competition is still going for a ski trip to Tyrol.    So, I decided to break out my lights and get a few shots before I get them mounted on my skis.

Here’s the toe piece lit with my two Eddie Bauer LEDs and the on camera flash for a bit of fill.

Here’s the healthy DIN settings. To release or not to release?

The heel piece back lit with an LED.

Check out the rest of their binding line up: http://www.tyrolia.com/  or their Facebook page.

Mount Hood

Well, when it’s good on Mount Hood…it’s good!

Asit Rathod slaying the powder dragon.

We enjoyed a high alpine start from near Timberline and finished with a Mount Hood Meadows session.

Asit Rathod in his natural habitat. Save the species and vote no on global warming.

Asit and Eric approach the goods just passed that cornice ridge. This was a natural ice segment. No edges required.

Skiing up the Mile at Timberline for some fresh snow!

The Palmer Lift house getting plastered....the ski down was awesome. But I was alone, no photos...

Afterwards I went to check out where my giant print of Hood will be displayed.

On the stairwell leading to the Raven's Nest near the Mount Hood and Jefferson rooms will soon be home to my Hood Panoramic.

Thank you Plywerk!

Here's an image of what will be on a Plywerk at the Night Lodge of Timberline soon!

There is one left of my previous print run from 2008 of the above image in the Gift Shop of the Night Lodge at T-line.  Go check  it out!

The summit headwall

I turned around at the location of the last image, since I didn’t feel like skiing more rocks. I already crossed four sections along the ridge. Despite this I got two core shots in my skis on the descent. However, there were three amazing minor headwalls and a great ridge run going down!
