Matt trekking through avalanche debris

Took this shot of Matt on our way up Yellow Aster Butte last Thursday. We did not make it up due difficulties in the steep forest. I found a few tree wells to be rather inviting unintentionally.

I got this shot on Friday at Larrabee State park along Chuckanut Dr south of Bellingham, Wa.   Went out there for some bouldering and photography after a hard day in the mountains on Thursday.

Mount Saint Helens from the Worm Flow approach trail.

I had a 3 hour window of opportunity yesterday morning so I decided to scope out the standard winter approach on the South side of Helens or Loowit (Keeper of the Fire).  I took the above photo with my little HD video/photo camera.  The lighting is not as I would have liked it had I used my DSLR.
